Boney Kapoor and Ashish Bhutani Submit Detailed Project Report for Film City Development

Producer and filmmaker Boney Kapoor, in collaboration with developer Ashish Bhutani, has presented a comprehensive project report to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) for the proposed Film City project. The detailed plan outlines various amenities, including crew accommodation, a golf course, entertainment zones, commercial and shopping areas, creating an all-encompassing film production environment. Proximity to the upcoming Noida international airport is highlighted as a key factor to attract filmmakers.

Yeida officials disclosed that Kapoor’s Bayview Projects and Bhutani Group secured the rights for the project after submitting the highest bid. The project, spanning 1,000 acres in Sector 21 near the Jewar greenfield airport, will be developed in phases. The proposal includes administrative hubs, studios, accommodations, transportation facilities, film education centers, and commercial zones, aiming to transform the region and generate employment.

The project’s initial phase encompasses seven zones, with subsequent phases focusing on cinema-themed amusement parks, global film production, film education, and advanced filmmaking techniques. The developers aim to revolutionize the filmmaking experience by offering comprehensive services, luxury accommodations, and recreational spaces, making the Film City an integrated hub for the film industry. The proposal is awaiting necessary approvals from the Uttar Pradesh cabinet for further advancement.
