Ghaziabad’s Parking Woes Addressed: GDA Approves Revised Building Bye-Laws

The GDA Board has greenlit the revised building bye-laws approved during a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, targeting the parking predicament in Ghaziabad. Going forward, only plans adhering to the new guidelines will gain approval. Plots below 300 square meters will no longer permit apartment development.

A significant portion of Ghaziabad residents grapple with insufficient parking, prompting the Uttar Pradesh government’s by-law amendments in response. Despite a government order issued on November 30 last year, enforcement faced delays in Ghaziabad, allegedly favoring builders. Urgent measures were initiated by GDA Vice President, with approval from GDA Board Chairperson Selva Kumari J., enabling the implementation of the regulations. The revised guidelines now specify construction limits based on plot size and parking provisions.
